MejorPay Cross-Border Payments Grant Product Launch | Global Freelancer Festival

🎪 On February 28, 2026, at the Global Freelancer Festival in Chennai, we brought the launch of the MejorPay Cross-Border Payments Grant to IITM Research Park. The story behind the session is simple: cross-border work should not stop at invoices, and freelancers and teams deserve reliable, transparent ways to get paid across borders.

🧭 In Chennai, we walked through why cross-border payments still feel overly complex for many independent professionals, and how the grant program is built to reduce that friction with targeted enablement. We focused on practical realities: what slows down onboarding, where payment flows break, and how we can help recipients move from planning to execution with less uncertainty.

🎯 We shared a clear view of what the grant experience is designed to deliver. Recipients get structured enablement, guided payment workflows, and hands-on onboarding support so they can operate with confidence across real-world cross-border conditions. We also talked about how we measure progress based on outcomes that matter: smoother payment operations, faster time-to-receive, and improved clarity for both freelancers and the teams they collaborate with.

💬 Beyond the presentation, the event included meaningful stall conversations with community members and builders. Those discussions surfaced recurring themes: the need for dependable payouts, simpler workflows, and guidance that respects compliance, platform constraints, and the day-to-day work of running a freelance business. The community feedback shaped how we frame the grant, how we explain implementation, and how we define success.
